20471120 AW2000 Paper Reconstructed Jeans

20471120 has constructed its aesthetic upon three things: Individuality, creativity, and the future. From models flying down in helicopters, and rolling down the runway in rollerblades, to a collection centered on an alternate reality where humans and lizards coexist; founder Masahiro Nakagawa has proven there is no limit to what can be expressed through garments. Pulling influence from a multitude of subcultures including mecha anime, 19th century french artists, and Harajuku streetwear, Nakagawa has melded these references into a cornucopia of clothing best described as playfully avant-garde. The name 20471120 refers to the date November 20th 2047, a date which Nakagawa imagines everyone will gather to celebrate, and reminisce on the memories made which will continue to shine for an eternity. He stated in an interview “I thought that there will be a world where diversity and individualism are advancing as fast as computers and mobile progress. Nakagawa once stated: “I thought that individualism and expression would have become the mainstream of fashion. And when I thought of the brand name, I felt that the numbers of that year represented a future of diversity, individuality, and creativity.”

This pair of stone-wash jeans features bits and pieces from deconstructed vintage Levi’s and Wranglers attached to the legs. It is part of the 20471120 Recycled Collection.
