Blackmeans Embroidered Nylon Rider Jacket
Blackmeans Embroidered Nylon Rider Jacket
From its inception Blackmeans has taken hold of the ideas of Japanese craftsmanship and hardcore values, creating some of the most distinctive desgins within Japans fashion underground. The idea of Blackmeans began when founder Yojiru Komatsu started working for a leather company which had previously processed leather for Luxury designers. Due to financial troubles his employer had three conditions for Komatsu: acrew more clients, open his own leather processing factory in Tokyo, and start his own brand. Naturally this led to the creation of Blackmeans and all of its studded glory. Founded with the goal of working with and understanding “leather” and “Japan” as an identity the creators wanted to infuse this idea of craftsmanship with their passion for punk and all its subcultures. In doing so they ensure each piece is painstakingly handcrafted, a process which can take hundreds of hours, and imbued with their love of motorcycles, post-anarchism, rockers, crust, proto, hardcore punk and everything inbetween. This has created an array of eclectic yet cohesive pieces which range from their iconic leather jackets to colorful coin pouches.
