Helmut Lang SS1999 MA-1 Bomber Jacket

Helmut Lang’s Spring / Summer 1999 collection did not stray far away from the Austrian-born designer’s minimalistic tendencies. The addition of both functional and futile straps to the garments, deemed to be a differentiating factor that separates this collection from more recent seasons. Outwear pieces were equipped with built-in harnesses meant for carrying the jacket the way one might carry a backpack. A good portion of the bottoms that were presented, featured elastic bands behind the knee that could be flipped to the front side of the trousers for aesthetic appeal

This black cotton bomber jacket features a chrome zip closure and an MA-1 cargo pocket on the sleeve. Dark navy elastic ribbing can be found on the base, collar and sleeves.

Marked size M (please refer to measurements):

Shoulder: 18.5in

Chest: 22in

Length: 27in

Sleeve: 28in
