Issey Miyake SS2007 Creased Camp Collar Shirt
Issey Miyake was introduced to the world of design at a young age. Having grown up in Hiroshima, which had recently been under a nuclear attack, he found inspiration in the old and the new. Two bridges in particular (now named “to create and to go”) made him feel emotion more than any other architectural body in the city. He felt a sense of hope when standing on the seemingly indestructible platforms. Issey has always looked toward the future in creating advanced synthetic fabrics and garments limited to one piece of cloth. He studied the human body and how it moves like an engineer would study the earth in which a structure in built upon.
This camp-collar shirt is made from a cotton blend and features a white base that has been over dyed. This shirt was folded, wrinkled, and creased throughout the dying process in order create the bold graphics and imperfections on the front and back of the garment.
Fits a size L (Refer to laid flat measurements):
Shoulder: 61cm
Pit: 67cm
Fr. Length: 75cm
Sleeve: 25cm
