Junya Watanabe AW2006 Patchwork Trousers
The Fall 2006 menswear collection featured looks inspired by the Martin Scorsese film, Taxi Driver (1976). The soundtrack to the movie played throughout the duration of the show and tied all of the looks together with a similar olive drab color palette and various reconstructive elements to the garments.
This pair of trousers is reconstructed using different pieces of olive and earth-toned cotton fabrics. Unlike a majority of the pairs of trousers from this collection, these bottoms feature patchwork detailing on the back in addition to the front of the pants.
