The current political jump from communism to capitalism played a big part in the shift from Raf’s primarily slim silhouettes to oversized shapes and top-half layering. Simons had stated,, “At the flea market in Vienna, I saw youngsters from the Ukraine or Romania, who simply lay layer by layer and thus create their own volumes because of the cold. What else to call this collection of iconoclasts but “Riot Riot Riot.”

They feature an MA-1 cargo pocket that is traditional seen on the arm of a bomber jacket.
