Undercover AW2006 Insect Corduroy Jeans

For his AW2006 collection, Jun Takahashi sent models down an industrial catwalk, donning tonal masks that paired with the fabric of the garments below. The covered faces were intended to represent the beauty of female facial features and the change of character that occurs when that is taken away. Jun is not necessarily hoping to portray negative sentiments, but rather he is simply highlighting this deviation from the norm. These masks were shrouded with various piercings and chains, creating a dismal and mystifying impression. The bodies were wrapped in cloth that resemble reconstructed versions of the first layer of garments underneath. For look 19, a copy of an embellished bomber jacket is reconstructed in order to be thrown over the original garment that is worn traditionally.

This pair of 5-pocket jeans is made from a brown corduroy material. They feature two limited run welt pockets on the back, for pairs ordered in a custom length.  Tonal embroidered insects are stitched into the front and back of the pants. Light fading is apparent throughout.

Marked size 3 (please refer to measurements):

Waist: 40cm

Inseam: 23cm

Front Rise: 80cm

Leg Opening: 15cm

Condition: 7.5/10. Fading on the fabric.
