Undercover SS2003 ‘Scab’ Corduroy Trucker Jacket
Undercover SS2003 ‘Scab’ Corduroy Trucker Jacket
The Spring / Summer of 2003 season was an important debut in Paris Fashion Week. Jun Takahashi’s collection, entitled “Scab”, was known for the crust patchwork and a mix of both bright and bleak colors. The decaying garments were loosely held together by pieces of fabric that were meant to resemble human scabs. Themes of recovery and hope in a post 9/11 world broke the silence and are what made this particular collection so significant.
This black corduroy jacket features a faded wash and distressing around the collar and pockets. A colored quilted fabric is stitched into the base of the garment with loose threads hanging and scattered around the body. All hardware is embossed with scab collection insignia.
Marked size L - Refer to laid flat measurements:
Shoulder: 19in
Chest: 23in
Length: 29in
