Walter Van Beirendonck 3D Cargo Face-Pocket Shorts
Walter Van Beirendonck 3D Cargo Face-Pocket Shorts
Walter Van Beirendonck began his reign of aestheticterrorism in the 80’s, establishing himself as one of the most innovative, and influential designers of his era. Throughout his multiple labels, Walter redefined the look of masculinity through unlikely, idiosyncratic designs. After studying at Belgium's Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Walter infused his couture-like craftsmanship with anarchistic silhouettes and technically futuristic fabrics. Through his bright, and often humorous designs, Van Beirendonck embeds social and political messages into collections which continue to push the boundaries of conceptual, and technical clothing.
This pair of cream cotton shorts features several 3D pocket applications on the front and back. The right side of the shorts features a raised “W” pocket with a zipper enclosure, and the left leg depicts and illusion of an animated face that is made up of two zipper-pocket eyes, and triangular nose insert, and a horizontal zipper-pocket mouth. The waist features a button adjustment tool and two traditional slanted welt-pockets are built into either side.
