Maison Martin Margiela Artisanal Painted Denim
Martin Margiela’s artisanal line was conceptualized in the year of 1988 as a means of recycling vintage garments and giving them a new life through reconstruction. These new creations are intended to be worn in a different way or introduced to a new environment when compared to its original purpose. From minute adjustments to complete deconstruction, this venture exists as Margiela’s most experimental line and continues to set an industry example of repurposed fashion.
This pair of light-wash vintage Levi’s jeans features a thick black painted coating that covers the entire exterior of the bottoms. The inside of the denim remains in its original state in order to provide comfort to the wearer.
