Ruffo Research AW2000 by A.F. Vandervoorst Asymmetrical Zipped Perfecto Leather Jacket
Since 1966, the overbearing Ruffo Corsi brand has supplied the tanned hides for the designs of Jil Sander amongst others, but branched out in 1998 into a youth-centric subsidiary that specialized in pushing the boundaries of this luxury animal byproduct. Since its conception, the label chose one designer to navigate and creative direct temporarily. Examples of past appointments include Helmut Lang, A.F. Vandevoorst, Riccardo Tisci, and Haider Ackermann.
This supple black leather tailored rider jacket features two asymmetrical Lampo zips at the collar that are reminiscent of nylon and cotton rider jackets that were made for Raf’s mainline collections. An oversized pointed collar and reinforced slanted welt pockets are present on the front of the piece. The interior features a quilted lining.
